Our philosophy is discovery. Contemporary art would not exist without art in history. And the history of art often hides the key for interpreting the art of today. Over the years our research has led us to reassess and revive the career of artists that have been at the origin of new movements, as well as of new ways of thinking. We bring back crucial works unseen for several decades, and collections of rare works that continue to be highly relevant today.
We observe the impact these artists have on the emerging generation, and their constant interest in creating exciting dialogues. While embracing this philosophy, we have produced the most important exhibition in decades for the British Constructivists in São Paulo, where we exhibited them alongside the Brazilian Concrete artists. The retrospective, called Concrete Parallels/Concretos Paralelos, has shed light on one of the most important creative moments of both sides of the Atlantic from the 50’s to the 70’s, and is accompanied by a 300 pages catalogue.
Our love affair with Brazil is continues as we are planning new exhibitions that connect Britain, France, and the rest of Europe with this Latin American nation. We think that the last four decades of our history are well worth revisiting with fresh eyes and new interpretations, and we know that the art market is eager to reassess the treasures of this recent past.
We share insights on the artists of our time with those who collect art.
