Curatorial Art Practice in London

Robyn Denny

During the period 1974 to 1984 I made many works on paper. They are tactile, physical, their image and identity lost and retrieved, detritus and renewal embodied like a palimpsest in slow motion over a long period. Like the sweet things in life they stand for loss and gain and renewal. Everything I have done since stems from them, hence they represent a kind of landmark and turning point for me. – ‘Drawing Show’, exhibition catalogue, Bernard Jacobson Gallery, London 1996
