BERENICE MAYAUX
Abstract Beans
18-31 August 2020
Ramsgate
Laurent Delaye Gallery is delighted to announce its new program of exhibitions in Ramsgate. The gallery will mix site specific projects and a home-based gallery.
Our first show will be a solo exhibition of French artist Bérénice Mayaux, a painter living in Paris and Los Angeles. She creates rich compositions freely moving from spontaneous images to meticulously planned structures. She mixes at will rigorous abstraction, vibrant organic forms, and unexpected figuration. Her range of experimentation is wide, and she is as interested in multidimensional space as in intricate colour grades and light spectrum. Her drawings sensually play with the fluid passage of the brush while her paintings are striking for their extremely complex precision.
